Following the success of the show in 2013, Dr. Shenuma Kashta has announced that the UK’s only event for black babies will return to Croydon on 31 October.
The Black Baby Show 2015 will take place during Black History Month, already gaining huge support from locals and people living close to Croydon – and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better. There will be a number of demonstrations and activities for all ages, as well as exhibition zones showcasing products such as black toys and games, Wellbeing Products, Hair care, African Fashion, Cultural Books and scrumptious fresh food which will be served by some of London’s favourite food caterers.
Colourful Radio, London’s unique family-friendly radio station for lovers of music and conversation, will be broadcasting live on the day. And key Sponsors already confirmed include Perfect Taste Catering, Sleeping Soundly and Babies World Ltd along with a number of high quality exhibitors geared up to the big day.
Dr. Shenuma Kashta says “I was inspired by my own experiences growing up as well as having my own black children, I also have my nieces and nephews who have inspired me to create this event as they are from mixed backgrounds and, after attending various baby shows with them, I noticed a gap in the market for exhibitions which cater specifically to their needs. Something was missing. And that is why The Black Baby Show exists.
Businesses and service providers can exhibit at this event and expect to engage (and do business) with parents, carers and anyone with an interest in positive black parenting”
Entertainment at The Black Baby Show will include children’s activities, live demonstrations and a fashion show. The event will take place from 10am to 6pm and, at an affordable rate of just £5 for Earlybirds who book online, it promises to be a fun-filled cultural day out for anyone who attends.
Dr. Kashta says, “This show is not just about black babies. It will appeal to anyone with an interest in family, lifestyle and black culture, whilst also showcasing products and services that relate to children from black or mixed backgrounds”
