April is Earth Month. Aveda invites artists, partners and guests to support their Earth Month mission by purchasing the Aveda Light the Way CandleTM . Purchases will benefit clean water efforts. 100% RRP £16.00 less VAT will be donated to Global Green grants Fund. The fund is a non-profit organisation that channels high-impact grants to grassroots groups working to solve environmental problems all around the world. Since 2007, Aveda has raised more than $14.7 million through Light the Way CandleTM sales.
“Part of what makes Earth Month so special is that the funds we’ve raised since campaign launch have come from millions of individual actions and donations. We have the collective power to change the world one artist and one guest at a time.” Melissa Chelminiak, Aveda Director Mission, Partner and Stakeholder Engagement
The Light the Way CandleTM smells marvellous and so Aveda if you know what I mean. Once lit it delivers the ultimate spa-like soothing fragrance. The woody note which grounds the aroma is organic vetiver from Haiti. Funds from candle sales have helped provide clean drinking water there in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew and continues to support water-related projects in the impoverished communities where vetiver is grown.
Also you can pop into your nearest Aveda Experience Centre for complimentary dry-styling tips, to go extra dry and save water. Using their Shampure Dry Shampoo and condition you can achieve a chic defined waves look or updo knot or braid. I must say, I think these styles may work best for straighter hair types which is more prone to being oily. Naturalista’s usually shampoo once weekly because our hair is more likely to be dry. I’ve never used dry shampoo before. If you have used curly hair and have used Aveda’s dry shampoo or any others for that matter let us how it worked for you.
Light the Way CandleTM is available online and in store at Aveda.
