As we grow older and responsibilities begin to pile up, we sometimes lose the essence of who we once were. We forget the things that gave us joy. We forget how to relax. I recently attend two events which had a deep positive effect on me. At the WOW Beauty event, I was reminded of the importance of stopping to breathe. At the Ladies Who Lunch Creativity Breakfast, I had the opportunity to clear my mind and reconnect with my creative self. I’ve often heard it said that everyone has a book in them. However, if you don’t want to commit to writing your memoirs or the next big kids book, then creative writing may be the outlet for you. You can find creative writing prompts online. There may be an evening class at your local college.
Writing helps with structuring thoughts and improves communication.
Sharing your passion with others can be very fulfilling. There are now no boundaries, with the internet. Blogging for recreation allows you to connect with likeminded people anywhere in the world. You can blog anonymous if you like. Whatever your subject or writing style creating something that’s aesthetically pleasing and establishing a network immensely gratifying.
