Summer is in full swing and although the nights are often uncomfortable I would not change it for a thing. I’m not one for sitting in the sun but I love to see the sunshine, it really makes me feel that anything is possible. I get ‘real get up and go’ during this time.

I’m cheerful this week because:

wedding receptiion

Hubby & I at wedding reception

– Last weekend hubby and I attend the wedding of a family friend, who also happened to be my bridesmaid 8 years ago. Sadly we could not stay for the reception but it was lovely to get out together, child-free. We scrubbed up quite nicely, if I do say so myself.

– Thanks for mild weight loss my dress for the wedding last week looked even better than when I bought. It such a fun girly piece to wear. I think its my favourite maxi dress yet, one from Matthew Williamson’s Butterfly range (royal blue snakeprint maxi dress) You can find pics on The Tiger Tales Facebook page.

Our wedding day

– As hubby and mine 8th wedding anniversary approaches, I’ve been reminiscing about the fun early days of our life together. We looked so young slim and fresh-faced in our pics. Have our challenges but we tackle them together one by one and we are better for it.

– Since having kids we have celebrated our wedding anniversary as a family. This year will be no different. Hubby agreed with my suggestion that we return to the place we had our wedding reception. The food is GOOD and its buffet so the kids will not get bored and irritable. WIN WIN I think. I’ll forget my diet for that one day. Its a celebration after all.

Well that’s me. How about you? Why are you cheerful this week? I’m linking this post to the Reason to be Cheerful blog hop that’s being hosted by Lakes Single Mum
