Mother’s Day is around the corner. Where did February go?! I don’t know about you, but I like to relax on Mother’s Day. My love language is acts of service. However, this year, like at Christmas, I’ve requested perfume. At Christmas, Santa gave me a bottle of Carolina Herrera’s La Bomba. I was hoping it would be under the tree BUT as it turns out, so did a lot of other ladies. Perfume, like clothes, it’s never pleasant when you bump into someone wearing the same thing. So, I’m putting La Bomba on the shelf for now and layering scents that make me feel good. Based on my trials, I have suggestions for bath and body products for mum. Below are some of my tried-and-true products for 50+ mums. Give mum the gift of sensory upliftment for Mother’s Day, with bath & body gift ideas for every mum.
Bath & Body Gifts Ideas
For years, I have been saying if there is no other time for mum to relax let it be bath time. Whether mum enjoys showers or baths, there’s something for her. Starest soaps are affordable and nicely packaged. I like the Spinach, Peppermint and Lemon Soap , the shape and design give a nice muscle massage in the shower pair it with other soaps from the brand to create a gift set from the age-defying collection.
Sticking with botanical uplifting products, Eko products are amazing. The Makeda face oil encourages deep, slow breathing and is good for the skin. There’s also a selection of body oils.
SBC Skincare has an extensive range for every skincare and wellbeing needs. Sometimes I use the Night Rituals Night Soak then follow up with the Spiced Saffron and Amber Moisturising Gel. Other times, at night, I start with the soak, then serum and finish with the Night Rituals Sleep Body Butter, finish with the Night Rituals candle and sleep is awaits. Have a look at their menopause collection as well.
If you follow me on social media, you will know I am fond of the Japanese brand SUQQU. Their skincare is soothing, the textures gorgeous and melts into the skin. The special care collection is impressive, take a look.
Fragrance Gift Ideas
Moving on from bath & body gift ideas, let’s talk perfume. Mother’s Day in the UK falls on a different date than in other countries that typically celebrate it in May. In the UK, it is observed in early March, which also marks the beginning of Spring. Why not surprise mum with a new spring fragrance? I have a few suggestions, starting with the joyful, unforgettable scent of Versace Blush Pink, with top notes of Calabrian bergamot, sweet peach, and strawberry apple. The heart features orange blossom, freesia, and marshmallow. The base notes include Madagascar vanilla and musk. Alternatively, consider Valentino Donna Born in Roma Purple Melancholia, whose main accords are fruity, floral, vanilla, sweet, and softly spicy.
I will stil include La Bomba, although it’s popular. The fragrence is lovely and belongs to the floral family. What’s more spring than flowers. La Bomba has; top notes Pitaya; heart notes Peony; base notes Vanilla. The bottle makes for an amazing shelfie and best of all, its refillable!
Finally, Yves Saint Laurent Libre Berry Crush. It sounds like it should be an autumn/winter scent, but I think she’s an all-rounder; fruity floral. Berry Crush starts with top notes of Raspberry and Mandarin; middle notes are Orange Blossom and Lavender; base notes are Bourbon Vanilla, Musk and Coconut.
Bonus Suggestion: Floral Street’s exclusive for Bridgerton in partnership with Netflix has birthed a limited edition floral gourmand. Enchanted Masquerade contains Mandarin Spanish Essential Oil, Green Hazelnut, Pink Pepper Australia Extract, Juicy Pear, Gardenia, Jasmine Petals, Rose Grasse Absolute, Cedarwood Texas Essential Oil, Patchouli, Skin Musks.

I hope my suggestions were helpful. Bath & Body gifts never go amiss, if mum likes to have a little me time. While perfumes, can last for years. Choose the right one and mum will have treat that lasts well after the day. If that’s still not enough, be sure to check out my skincare for 50+ mums listing.
