In March 2013 I attended the Press & Blogger Day for Isossy Children’s SS13 Collection.   I was super excited to attend because on paper the brand’s ethos is one dear to me: the promotion of diversity. I was not disappointed.  The ideology of Amanda Rabor shines through in her  designs. ‘The label incorporates African, Asian and Western cultures to create contemporary clothing that all children can wear. The inspiration is transcending cultural barriers and opening it up for all children.’  Over the last year Isossy Children garnered  much acclaim and now they have launched their Babies SS14 Collection. Angelo, Valentina and I had the privilege of being a part of the fashion photo-shoot for the collection; me behind the scenes with other parents and the children on camera. Isossy Children’s Babies SS14 Collection is one for fashionable ‘Bambino Babies’.

Throughout Isossy Children’s Babies SS14 Collection, the signature  cuts, shapes, prints and quality fabric selection has been sustained. However, a softer palette of contrasted honeyed tones has been used. The elements I adore in the collection are the delicate bows, circular fabric appliques and floaty layered capped sleeves all of which gives a 3D effect on the  Anastascia and Arianna dresses; ethnic print pipping detail along the trouser side-seam, jacket collar and pockets of the boys Biko Suit; the lapels of the Bradley Suit has an eye-catching print which is a trendy feature for a dapper little boy.

Its hard to choose a favourite piece but I confess I get all gushy at the sight of the Fifi Spiral,  Fifi Star and ‘Ootsie Cutsie’ rompers with the shirred detailing. (Ok! so I know that’s more that one) What mum wouldn’t want one of those in her darling girl’s clothing collection. Other features showcased are mock epaulettes in contrasting soft colours and mock welt stitching on panelled dresses. Here, I present to you a selection of pieces from  Isossy Children’s Babies SS14 Collection:
