I can’t tell a lie, I’d luv to have a lady who lunches lifestyle. In reality those opportunities are few and far in between but last weekend was one of those rare occasions. I’d almost forgotten how chilled and stress free shopping can be without kids. AND Nandos chicken never tasted so good! For my lady’s lunch date I selected a monochrome tribal print maxi dress. With my new fuller figure, I prefer dresses for special occasions, especially maxi dresses. Maxi dresses make me feel feminine and they also skirt over areas I’d prefer to go so unnoticed. Big hair and tribal print goes together like hand in glove and its such a fun vivacious look, perfect for summer.
Here’s my lady’s lunch date look:
Jacket: Miss Selfridges
Handbag & Necklace: gift (source unknown)
Shoes: neon pink jelly sandals from Office
It was love at first sight when I spotted this monochrome tribal print maxi dress at Marisota’s pop up shop event. I’m partial to a v-front (or cowl front) tops due to my broad square shoulders. Its more flattering for me. This particular tribal print is a bit geometric in its design. The diagonal lines are suitable for my frame (horizontal lines make me look wide). The dress is an empire line with an under-bust band that’s elasticated at the back. At the back there are tie-strings at shoulder level, so my bow falls between my shoulder blades; a hint of sexiness. The dress is georgette with a polyester lining and falls to my ankles. This maxi dress is great for day or evening out all that’s need is a smart jacket and bling accessories. I always style my natural hair lose in a twist-out when I wear this dress. The bold print deserves matching big and bold hair.
