As a busy mum of two, I look forward to my shower time. It’s my time to relax and recentre, so that time is scared. I relish using fragrant uplifting shower products. However, I have sensitive eczema prone skin. Some products smell amazing but fragrances, petrochemcials (e.g. paraffin, mineral oil, petroleum, petrolatum) and parabens (such as methylparaben or butylparaben) ingredients are unsuitable for sensitive skin types. I was happy to see on social media that Crabtree & Evelyn had a new range that contained goat’s milk. It’s reported that the cream present in goat’s milk can soothe dry and damaged skin, due to its anti-inflammatory effect. Crabtree & Evelyn products and packaging are divine but best of all, my skin loves them. Iobtained the opportunity to trial two products from their new Goatmilk range. I used Crabtree & Evelyn’s Goatmilk Shower Milk and Goatmilk Hand Therapy cream they were a welcome addition to my sensitive skin bodycare regime.
Crabtree & Evelyn ‘Goatmilk Bodycare Collection has been carefully formulated with gentle ingredients to help people with sensitive skin. Clinically and dermatologist tested, it is deeply moisturising, leaving the skin feeling comforted and cashmere soft.’ However, it must be highlighted that it’s not for under three year’s old. According the packaging, it’s for adult use only. The featured ingredients in the bathmilk are: free-range Goat’s Milk, Oat Kernel, Bisabolol, Allantoin and Vitamin E. As for the hand therapy cream, it contains: free range Goat’s Milk, Oat Kernel, Bisabolol, Allantoin, Vitamin E, Macadamia nut oil, shea butter and Myrrh. Some of those ingredients I keep in stock if the kids or I develop skin irritation. Hence I knew I could trust the Goatmilk range.
I’ve used Crabtree & Evelyn’s Goatmilk Shower Milk and Goatmilk Hand Therapy cream for a couple weeks. I love it! The Goatmilk Shower Milk lifted my mood. In fact, the fragrance took me back to my childhood. Both my mother and grandmother used products from certain quintessentially British perfume and bodycare brands. When I first smelt the Shower Milk at once it brought to mind open fields, flowers, sunshine, tea and cakes. After my shower my son entered the bathroom. He asked ‘what’s that lovely smell?’ So I allowed him to have a quick bath in the Shower Milk. It used in the bath as well. He’s six years old now and he doesn’t have any skin concerns. The Hand Therapy was fantastic too. I commute a great deal, so it’s vital to have good quality hand cream. I took the Hand Therapy with me when I was out and about. I also used it at home. I try to lead by example and get the kids to wash their hands on returning from outdoors. My hands are washed regularly. I found the Hand Therapy cream to be excellent in keeping my hands soft, as well as looking and feeling moisturised.
