Earlier this year I attended the opening of sk:n Clinic, Lavender Hill, Clapham, London. Post launch day I was invited to experience their new HydraFacial for review purposes. I loved the result, so, I returned for another treatment, at my own expense. After the treatment I tried to maintain the benefits by using products to retain moisture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Recently, I was sent some sk:n products to trial. I received sk:n Vitamin-Rich Cleanser for All sk:n Types (Cleanse & Exfoliate) along with their Brightening and Firming Eye Cream. I’ve trialled skn: Skincare and had good results.

Vitamin-Rich Cleanser for All sk:n Types (Cleanse & Exfoliate)

The Vitamin-Rich Cleanser for All sk:n Types (Cleanse & Exfoliate, 200ML) RRP£28  . It has a creamy milky appearance and consistency. Active ingredients were Evening Primrose Oil Vitamins A, C & E and humectants (containing mineral oil and glycerine). The purpose of a humectant is to reduce the loss of moisture in the skin. Some research say skincare containing mineral oil should be avoided. I leave it to you to decide based on your skincare concern. I used the product once daily; applied with clean hands using light circular movements, and then rinsed with warm water. If I had worn makeup that day, I did a double cleanse. However, 9 times out of 10, I’m makeup free. I could feel the moisturising effect. My skin felt supple and hydrated to the. It made my skin look brighter, as well.

Brightening and Firming Eye Cream

As you know, the condition of my under eye area has been a frustration for me. The HydraFacial reduced the appearance of milia on the corners of my eyes. For year, I thought they were regrown   moles that I had removed in my twenties. Then during post care I’ve been using sk:n Brightening and Firming Eye Cream RRP£25.50 (20ML). Thankfully, my under area has much improved with my diligent care.  The claimed benefits of the cream are: Targets fine lines and wrinkles achieving visible results; reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes and protects against photo-ageing. It includes ingredients Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Anti-Age Peptide and caffeine – a natural active, that helps reduce puffiness around the eye by stimulating blood flow. I’ve been using the cream twice daily for the past month and the results truly re visible.

Conclusion

My experience using Sk:n skincare has been good. I’ll continue to use them until I treat myself to another facial. Spring here I come, all bright eyed and clear skined.
