The kids and I love games. We all get so competitive it’s funny. I have no shame. I don’t ease up on them … often. Angelo enjoys a bit of strategy, in fact given the chance he’d sway games for his benefit. I watch him like a hawk. I especially wanted to play Dynamite Dare with him. We received the game for the purposes of this review. I was not surprised by the third round he was sure he’d worked out a method to win. Between you and me, no he didn’t; because the game doesn’t work like that. It resets after every round.  Dynamite Dare is a quick fire game of nerve and concerntration, diffuse or lose!

Dynamite Dare is a Wild West themed game by Brainstorm Ltd. The object of the game is for the players to diffuse the dynamite and save the gold. The game is aimed at 4+ and is super easy to assemble. It comes with: the safe which has a wind up timer and detonator plugs along with three pieces of foam dynamite. No chance of lil tots being hurt should the dynamite bop them on the head, if the wrong detonator plug is pressed. Player wins the round when the safe has been diffused and the timer pops off the front. The first player to win three rounds wins the game. Whether he did have a ‘method’ Angelo beat me three times. We had lots of giggles and squeals in between. Valentina quit the game early. She said Angelo and I were scaring her every time we squealed when the dynamite exploded. In our defence, we couldn’t help. The only thing I didn’t like was it could be bit fiddly.

Sometimes the dynamite would roll away or we’d accidentally press two detonator plugs at once. Having said that; those fumble added to the excitement because you have to be quick to stop the explosion. I believe flicking those detonator plugs would be good for little ones to build their fine motor skills and concentration.
