Recently my blogger life took me to Marylebone for Boots’ Christmas event. I entered the splendid lounge area with a beautifully decorated tree and roaring wall mounted electric fire to await the presentation. Last year’s Christmas focused on personalisation. This year, Boots has taken personalization a step further. Psychologist Honey Langcaster-James has collaborated with Boots and created a guide to thoughtful gifting. Boots’ thoughtful gifting comes five with G.I.F.T.S tips.

Honey Langcaster -James’ five tips on thoughtful gifting is sure you help us win serious brownie points. According to Honey; gifting helps to ‘… cement, deepen and celebrate your relationships. Her five tips are:

  • Good Times- think of happiest times you’ve shard with the recipient, a memory that always makes you smile
  • Intimate Moments- consider a time when you felt really connected to the recipient (is it possible to recreate the moment with a gift?)
  • First Impressions- consider the how and where you met the recipient
  • Time and Place- is there a special time place, or date
  • Sharing Secrets- (if you are a Pretty Little Liar fan, you’d know that Alison always says secrets keep us close) consider a shared secret for private jokes.  A gift that evokes those memories will be truly special.

Later, Lou Peterson, Head of Brand Development, shared with us picks for Boots’ top ten Christmas gift. She chose from brands like Liz Earle, Ted Baker, No7 and Sleek. My favourites from her choices were: Jack Willis Mitten gift set RRP£20 (includes metallic nail polish and hand cream; Soap n Glory’s Pouty Popper RRP£6 (inclu. 2 ltd ed. Sexy Mother PuckerTM lip glosses); ’A little Something’ Glamorous Body Care Collection RRP£10 which is a prepacked gift bag.

Now if the above doesn’t tickle your fancy, how about these? Boots has new focused brands this Christmas as well as returning firm favourites.  The newbies are Skinnydip and Hype. Then there’s celebrity influencers Lucy Mecklenburgh (of Towie fame) and Millie Mackintosh. Some of my favourites were from Hype. Their collection mirrors its cool reputation with a mix of keyrings, hats and bath and body sets. I’m fond of their beanie, bath and body combo. Skinnydip London is a London based brand known for creating effortlessly cool fashion accessories. Well love everything everything!! The Tequila Sunrise Candle RRP£10 is perfect for a MeTime cosy time at home. Then, there’s Millie Mackintosh. Millie’s curated gift sets are ‘perfect for that loved one who knows who she is and has a timeless sense of style.’ MM Couture Beauty giftset RRP£30. I have to mention Zoella Lifestyle?! The Zoelle Warm and Toasty Mug & Hat set RP£18. The pomppom detail on the beanie is super cute! OH! And her Cosy Night in Collection RRP£20 includes hot water bottle cover and pompom with an eye mask.

Boots has really pulled out all the stops! Amazing products and the tools to enable us to pick the perfect pressey, you can’t go wrong with Boots Christmas.
