During the summer I told you about competition that BIC Kids were running. The competition was to give 10 children from the UK and Republic of Ireland the opportunity to have their drawings displayed for all to see. The competition was run in partnership with Mumsnet and BIC® KIDS. Some amazing work was produced! After competing against hundreds of children from across the UK and Republic of Ireland, the top 10 have now been named as this year’s winners in the BIC® KIDS Young Artists Award.
The 5-11 yr old winners will now have their work displayed on adverts across the country. After the competition closed in August, all of the hand drawn entries were judged by an expert panel of creatives from the marketing, publishing and illustration industries.
… and the winners are:
- Anna Licciardi- Winterslow, Salisbury
- Ayesha Taniya- Newport
- Eliana Goodall- Walmer, Deal
- Kayden-Lee Baxter- Northfleet, Gravesend
- Lillian Brown- Thatcham, Berkshire
- Lotta Cunningham- Winchester
- Lydia Smith- Liverpool
- Max Onslow- Bitterne, Southampton
- Olivia Rooney- Newry, Co. Down
- Sebastian Heath- Smethwick, West Midlands
Henri Nicolau, General Manager at BIC UK and Ireland, said: “Art and creativity are extremely important outlets for children to express themselves. With children increasingly reliant on digital technology, we are keen to inspire parents to encourage their budding artists to pick up a felt pen, pencil or crayon and draw until their heart’s content.
I’m sure you will agree the children’s art work is remarkable and they are worthy winners.
