Fashion trends for Autumn/Winter 2014 has something for everyone, whatever your figure and personal taste. Colours such as oranges, cobalt blue and reds (from scarlet, maroon to oxblood and more)  have graced the catwalks. Bold fun prints are in, such as tartan and paisley prints. Animal motifs have returned. I’ve seen a few cute animal themed pieces by Henry Holland. I adore the panda! While snake prints have run throughout the year, then again why not?  2014 is the Year of the Snake after all, according to the Chinese calendar. I’m a fan of Matthew Williamson’s pixelated snake prints. Let’s not forget classy winter whites as seen on Victoria Beckham‘s catwalk. When it comes to translating trends into our ‘everyday’ life it can be tricky to hit the mark. I recently attended a fashion event at Centrale shopping mall, Croydon. The intention was to showcase how we can shop the trends from the High Street stores. The five trends shown at Centrale’s Autumn Fashion Fix event were: Faux Fur, Tapestry Folk, Metallics, New Pastels and Shades of Red

Centrale’s Autumn Fashion Fix event took place over the weekend 27th – 28th September. Various stores from the shopping mall contributed pieces to the event. While, the hair and makeup for the models were done by Hello Gorgeous which is situated lower mall, Centrale.  The catwalk show was presented inside the shopping mall next to Debenhams, which is a lovely open well lit area. Passersby we able to stop and enjoy the show. Now for the looks:

There were catwalk shows every hour over the Autumn Fashion Fix weekend , as well as, many offers and discounts throughout the mall. The same five trends were featured at each show however, they styled in different ways with contributions from different stores.

Here’s hoping that you now feel empowered to shop the trends and put your best fashion foot forward. As for me, I’m intend on making the most of Shades of Red (CLICK HERE for my take on that trend) and New Pastels with some snake print thrown for a bit of pizazz. What this space…
